Comfort, Concern and Caring

Perimeter Veterinary Hospital has earned a reputation for personalized service and gentle, positive interactions with our patients.  Our unwavering focus on patient comfort sets us apart.  Our steadfast goal is to provide the highest quality, compassionate care to patients and to develop lasting relationships with our clients.  Please take a moment to meet our hard working team!

Dr. Laurel Beck has been caring for pets at Perimeter Veterinary Hospital since October, 2016.  She grew up in a medical family and always knew she wanted to combine the challenge of medicine with her love for animals.  One of her favorite aspects of being a veterinarian is having the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with families and their pets.  Now as the owner of Perimeter Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Beck is excited and honored to carry on the high standards of this practice.

Originally from Findlay, Ohio, Dr. Beck attended Indiana University and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 1999.  She then attended The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.  Following graduation, Dr. Beck moved with her husband to New Jersey where she spent 12 years treating a variety of small animals.  Dr. Beck’s professional interests include proactive wellness care, dental care, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery.

In her free time, Dr. Beck loves to travel and spend time outdoors, hiking, camping, or gardening.  She also enjoys reading, dancing, and general craftiness!  Dr. Beck and her husband, Chad, are the proud parents of three children, Liam, Alaina, and Nora.  They have one handsome grey kitty, Quincy, and still count their recently departed dogs Sylvie and Monty as part of the family.

Dr. Ridenour is a 1987 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  In 1988 she completed an internship at the West Los Angeles Animal Medical Center and in 1989 fulfilled her dream of building a veterinary hospital.  As the founder of Perimeter Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Ridenour has always maintained a strong commitment to patient comfort and the highest quality medical care for pets.  Her professional interests include dental care, pain management, and behavioral health.

Dr. Ridenour shares her passion for veterinary medicine with her husband, Dr. Robert G Sherding, who is a veterinary internal medicine specialist retired from The Ohio State University. Together they are greeted at home by a rescued American Foxhound "Sunshine", and a mischievous cat rescued from a car engine "Moonster".

Her favorite past time is her show horse, Antarez or "Z", who competed with her locally in Dressage.

Erin has been greeting pets and their people at Perimeter Veterinary Hospital for 14 years.  She has a special affinity for animals and all our patients have grown to know and love Erin!

Erin shares her home with her husband David and two daughters, Genevieve and Clara.  They have many furry family members, including dogs Victor, Yoshi, and Chaplin, cats Marshmallow Meatball and Spaghetti, and a hamster named Randy.
